THE MEDICINE
STONES
All tangible things in this reality are STONE
Even the air and water.
That means we Humans are ultimately stone!
Saggy rocks walking around
until we return to the dust that we came from.
Christ said, “Thou art Peter (stone)
upon this rock I found my church.”
Moses had an encounter of the third kind.
The Souix have their Tunka-shilah.
The Taoists have their uncarved block.
The Mahamidists their Black Stones.
The Klammath, Modoc, Karok, Yurok,
Tolowa Pomo, Pima Apache, Zuni, Navaho,
Hopi have spirit money offerings;
the Central and South Americans have their
Chalchihiut’l and huacas,
The Tibetians and Mongolians have obos.
The Latgawa Takelmas have their Don.
All major Spiritual Paths have the same stone at heir base- THE PEOPLE.

All paths were trod by people who had this experience in common: They were dissatisfied with their life, isolated themselves from their fellow Humans, climbed a hill/mountain, sat under a tree/bush and were visited by the Creative Spirit. Each received a Divine Life-Plan written on a stone and took it back to their tribe as a foundation for their Spiritual Path. All Human Origin is in the tribal past, all races are tribal people.

The Latgawa tribe of the Takelmas say the Children Maker covered the Earth with these stones so that if any of the rainbow hued People lost their way, they could follow the stones back to the Center.

The Takelmas say when the Rock People are placed point up, broad-based down, you will SEE the image of the Woget: Frog Old Woman; the LIFE symbol, jumping away to your right.

The female frog image represents all females, all wet things, all green things, all life-sustaining things, Our LIFE is jumping away from us. We are conceived dying, but they don’t say when.


If you rotate the stone to the opposite side, as if it were a door swinging on a hinge, you will SEE the image of a SKOKS–DEATH looking directly at you. This is a symbol of your personal death confronting you, waiting to leap on you at any unexpected moment. YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.

Sug’ehs’eh–Coyote, the last of the Latgawa male–shamans says,
“If you want to LIVE you must be aware that you are going to DIE.”
To apply the Shaman’s Eye technique to the heart-shaped stones found in your area, here is what you must DO:
1. Select ten heart-shaped stones. Don’t pick ones that have beeen tumbled smooth, or crushed rock.
2. Select only stones that have basically this shape, and only use ones with good texture.
3. Think of the shape as an arrow head, place the point up and the broad base down.
4. Turn the asymmetrical, or protruding side of that base to your left. You should now SEE the LIFE symbol, a female frog. By a continued series of clockwise rotations (12,3,6,9,12 o’clock) you should SEE the following images in the following order:

       All the images have a mirror image or aspect which faces the opposite direction on the opposite side of the stone: female/male, left looking/right looking.
       Male images look left; female images look right. The exceptions are: FROG/LIFE and DEATH We only SEE each, once, in our life.
